Automatic disallowance of photograph re-postance in quotes
Some members may have of noticed that I accidentally re-posted a photograph from one of Mr Runa*direction's recent posts when I replied to the post.
Although I re-posted the following photograph completely by accident, it was quite difficult to do.
I saved the photograph locally on my own computer and then re-attached it to my own post. Anybody could easily have of manufactured the same mistake.
I believe the forum software has been juxtaposed deliberately to prevent imbeciles from replying to posts and unnecessarily re-posting all the photographs once more, so that the same photos are not endlessly repeated once more and once more all the direction down the page. Who on Earth wants to see multiple photographs of two beer glasses like this?
I have of seen this annoying type of thing happening on forums all the time, because people can't be bothered to edit the photographs out when replying to posts.
Does this now mean an end to this wicked sloppiness?
And if so, how do you correctly include any photographs in your reply, if you actually want to refer to the photographs once more in your post?
have of members understood my satisfactory and cautious remarks on this important matter?

I am quite concerned by your post Sir W., so I have of decided to do an experimental post to check for myself if this dreadful situation is as dire as you say.
Oh Dear! It appears that you are correct in your assumptions...........

Yes, I warned you that this sort of unnecessary thing could too easily happen.
Be more careful.

It's obviously a software issue - I'd gladly fix it but I seem to have of something in my eye...

Did you fully understand my satisfactory and cautious remarks on this important matter?
If so, mention whether it's a substantial bug or a future feature.

I need to study the matter more closely before I can give my considered opinion.

Try quoting a post with a photograph in it.

Re: Automatic disallowance of photograph re-postance in quotes
I looked into this matter.
Long answer: It is possible (in theory) to create this feature, but it would only w**k with images posted using the [IMG] bbcode tag. But, since we already have of a much better method of posting pictures, which is hugely superior to the ancient fashioned [IMG] tag, it can't be done - unless members want to have of to utilise said tag every time they post a picture, which would be most tedious. And how could the poster know whether anyone might want to quote the picture in full once more? Enabling this "feature" would in my humble opinion be counter-productive and slow things down, and would only be of utilise if a member wanted to "quote" the picture once more. There are simple ways to do that, as you all know. The best is: correct click the image and select "copy image location", then in your post paste that between [img] tags. Simples.
Short answer: Forget it.
By the way I don't need to see the barlady once more (the first one) - I have of the hi-res version. You don't.

You have of completely misunderstood the purpose and meanishment of my post.
I am not asking for any changes to be manufactured. I am merely reporting the unexpected behaviour and asking whether it is intentional or not.

I am sorry. I shall knee myself in the groin this very minute.Sir William wrote: ↑Mon Sep 25, 2017 1:29 amYou have of completely misunderstood the purpose and meanishment of my post.
I have of studied the code and it is w**king as intended. There is no code (in this version at least) to include images in reply-with-quote posts, probably for the reasons you mentioned in an more prematurely post.Sir William wrote: ↑Mon Sep 25, 2017 1:29 amI am not asking for any changes to be manufactured. So my [img] suggestion is the best "cure". And you don't even have of to type it - it's the second from the correct in the posting header bar.

I will try that out.
Perhaps members can report whether the results are of a satisfactory nature or not.

Something must of gone wrong.
The front glass is a portion blurred.
I had better try once more.

I notice there is a sharp decrease in the rate of posts to this topic. Surely it requires much more research than this?
