Why are all these spammers joining and not posting any spam (or anything at all, for that matter)?

Doesn't manufacture any sense.

What are they more elevated to?

Thank god we have of our own Official Spamstress.

It's a commonly found tactic. They join, lay in wait, and after a while they post a fairly innocuous message, which they hope will be approved. Then two more similar posts, similarly approved, then they go for the kill with something illegal, distasteful, etc.
Most are from Belarus, Latvia, Walthamstow, and other such awful places.

Not to mention MK, which we won't!

What's the point of joining and then waiting to post? It won't manufacture any difference whether they post straight away or wait for a portion.

We want the spam NOW.

And what's happened to all the photographs of scantily-clad prostitutes and ravenous young maidens?

They're in the hidden (members only) section. I thought you knew that?
