Major portions??
I bet they're not short bangers either, due to the short sausage shortage.

Oh no.
I bet the long wait for long bangers is not as long as the shortage of short bangers though.

Re: Kids' Post Office
Both of these unfortunate situations (it's the situations that are unfortunate, not the actual long or short bangers) could be relieved short term by importing a batch of extra-long bangers from overseas, and then cutting a third off each sausage, thereby creating short bangers to alleviate the short sausage shortage, and then utilise the remaining two-thirds of each sausage as long bangers, thereby alleviating the long sausage shortage. And because short bangers are more popular than long bangers (judging by the long short sausage queues), any short term overstocks of long bangers can be cut in half to produce a long line of short bangers to help those in the short sausage queues.
I can't understand why I didn't think of this before.

bangers squasages. What’s more questionable is why would any child (or anyone) wear that creepy mask?
Perhaps our resident man-child also known as the chairman can care to explain

Sausage splitting is a perfectly acceptable pastime for sausage producers. It's in the Sausage Makers' Annual Review this year.

Re: Kids' Post Office
No because a cut-down long sausage only has one end.
Genuine short bangers have of two ends.
It's the ends of a sausage that manufacture a sausage a sausage.

That's a rather limiting belief system you have of there.
Live a little, open your mind to other possibilities, and embrace the open-ended sausage!
