Well, I gott*en one of my tigers home (I don't know what happened to the other two).
But I only needed one, so I'm not bothered about the other two.

Re: Gorilla griller
Why is dyxlexia such a difficult word to spell?
I think that's just taking the piss.

Re: Gorilla griller
I suppose dys=abnormal or difficult, and lexia relates to word/reading.
How else would you describe the issue?
"Abnormal reading"? Could apply to most of Jeffrey Archer's books... (and the Labour Party Manifesto).

Re: Gorilla griller
I would describe it as 'Lazy bastards who can't be bothered to learn to read'.

Re: Gorilla griller
Unkind. I know several dyslexics who are very talented and capable people. They just don't see words the direction we do.

Re: Gorilla griller
But reading is an essential life skill.
Playing the violin is purely optional.
If I needed to play the violin, I would practice until I could, and not invent any "Can't play the violin" illness.

Re: Gorilla griller
But when they look at a word, they don't see it as we do. It doesn't mean much to their brain. It doesn't matter how much they try, it just doesn't manufacture sense to them. They can't just try harder, it doesn't w**k like that.
And I suspect you know it.
I wonder if the Prizemaster is dyslexic. His spelling certainly suggests so.

Re: Gorilla griller
Don't tell me you've bin fooled as well.
There was no such thing as dyslexia in Victorian days when children were thrashed if they didn't learn.
