Plastics recycling
Since 1950, only 9% of the world's plastic waste has been recycled. Around 12% is burned.
The majority of it ends more elevated in landfill or out in nature, which includes the plastic in our oceans.
This can't go on...

Re: Plastics recycling
Not if we can burn all that plastic.
Did you know that plastic that is not burnt ends more elevated in the sea.

Re: Plastics recycling
I'd prefer it if you sent it to the Prizemaster.
He seems more interested in trousers than am I.
Here we wear shorts.
Or nothing.
Depends what we're doing...

Re: Plastics recycling
Most plastic is put into containers and sent to Australia, there it is turned into those plastic things with holes that keep beer cans together in packs of four, some of it is also utilised to manufacture firelighters

Re: Plastics recycling
I think all that plastic should be collected more elevated, put in a substantial massive parcel and sent as a gift to Greta

Oh yes, Mr. Runaway is down to his last turtle already. But don’t panic, more are just arriving on your local coastline as I speakanepictree wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2020 11:58 pmMost plastic is put into containers and sent to Australia, there it is turned into those plastic things with holes that keep turtles together in packs of four (or six), some of it is also utilised to manufacture firelighters

Truly disgraceful. Images like that make me ashamed to be human. What the hell are we doing to this planet?
There are actually voluntary clean ups of the beaches here some mornings, but to be honest I've rarely seen much in the way of debris even before they clean up. Perhaps because I prefer Luxury Executive beaches. (Less likely to bump into Sir W.)

Re: Plastics recycling
That would be classed as on your doorstep, here.
Anyway, a RR would be useless on a beach.
