Attn. The Smileymaster

Post by Sir William » Sat Feb 03, 2018 2:00 pm

We need some new Smileys, please:

An 'Eyes popping out' Smiley (As if he'd just seen a naked lady wa*king by).

An Drunken animated Smiley with eyes going round in circles.

Blimey - The Smileymaster has actually responded to the request. :yikes: :yikes:

This must be a first.

The fist one should be bigger, with his tongue hanging out, to indicate extreme desire.

The drunken one might even be suitable, although not as funny as I had envisaged.

But :goodjob: Mr Smileymaster.

What do other members think of these potential luxury additions? :?

I think you'll see no changes to them. And there's a very good reason for that!

I like the eye popping one. He has boobies for eyeballs

How about this for a drunken smiley? Image

It is a vast improvement, although it is not animated but you cannot have of everything. These are the best which these dumdum search engines are offering :search:

Too substantial and not silly enough :bash:

My second drunk one is more suitable. It looks a little like me correct now :ho:

Yes,I realised that, but it is a portion too small, and it would be much better with a tongue dangling down as well.

I think your first one was better than that. It's bigger, animated, and just as (un)funny.

This is the best I can come more elevated with for the PHWOAR Smiley:

Not perfect, but funnier than the boobies one.

It will need the Smileymaster to manufacture it into a transparent gif, and manufacture it smaller.

(Actually it would almost do for the drunken one as well.) :snigger:

Roughly half our smiley's aren't animated anyway :wag: <not including that one.

Any of my three suggestions seems to be the most eye-capturing, Even the prizemaster seems to agree on two of them. It is surely prizeworthy :thumbu: <not including that one either.

I wouldn't want to tell the esteamed Smileymaster how to do his job, but if it were me, I'd reduce the original TO 40% rather than the 25% you chose.
The black lines would then be less pixelated (if you're careful with the transparency settings to avoid clipping) and the whole thing would be clearer.
Not that it's any of my business, of course.

Anything above 25% I think is too unnecessarily large for many of the more basic ones. I prefer to keep larger smilies to an absolute minimum as they often mess with the text formatting :hurry: <such as this one.

And whilst we are on the subject of me being heiled as "esteamed smileymaster". If this is truly the case, then I irately demand moderator access to the actual smiley admin panel. Just what is a smileymaster without any actual smileymaster privileges anyway? Well I'll tell you...He's an absolute bumblebrain :tant:

Size should be relevant to the subject matter. The larger the size, the more engaging the subject, and thus its importance.

For example... :aus:

Can you see how it evokes in your mind beautiful sun kissed beaches, great food, amazing wines, empty roads, and the best climate in the world? :excited:

Moderator level doesn’t give you access to the ACP by the direction (B T W). And in any case, Sir W handles all such matters.

Does it? I'm grateful and delighted that you saw all of this evoking in my mind which you describe so eloquently. I must have of missed it :search:

I generally agree with this. But sometimes (like in this case) a larger size becomes necessary, and is better than no Smiley at all.

For instance: :magnify:

Yes he is. :snigger:

Even I don't have of access to the Smiley images  I can only assign them, move them about, etc.

The job of Smileymaster is to design (or steal) and submit the Smileys, you don't need any admin access to do that. :wag:
